Henri weber

born June 23, 1944 in Léninabad (Tajikistan, USSR) and died April 26, 2020 in Avignon (Vaucluse), is a French politician, member of the Socialist Party (PS), Senator of Seine-maritime and then European Deputy. Henri Weber's parents, Jewish watchmakers, lived in 1938 in Chrzanów in Poland, a few kilometers from Oświęcim where the Auschwitz extermination camp would later be built.

Sylvie Wieviorka

  born February 3, 1950 in Paris1, is a psychiatrist Specializing in drug addiction care, academic and elected local in Paris.  

  Their paternal grandparents, Polish Jews, were arrested in Nice during the war and died in Auschwitz. Their father, who took refuge in Switzerland, and their mother, the daughter of a Parisian tailor, who took refuge in Grenoble, survived the war.

Georges wolinski

cartoonist for the press, comic book illustrator, born June 28, 1934 in Tunis, son of Ziegfried of Polish origin, arrived at the age of 13 in Tunisia, ironworker assassinated in 1936 by one of his employees and Lola Bembaron, Franco-Italian. Georges Wolinski , himself, was cowardly murdered on January 7, 2015 by Islamists in the attack on the newspaper "Charlie Hebdo" which killed 12 people including his comrades: Cabu, Charb, Honoré and Tignous.

Stanisław Zamoyski

Born November 18, 1853 in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, died on  October 3, 1924 in Kórnik is a Polish nobleman. Son of General Władysław Stanisław Zamoyski and Jadwiga Działyńska , he was born in Paris where he studied at the Lycée Charlemagne. Bachelor in 1871, he tried to integrate into the École Polytechnique, which was unsuccessful despite four requests (1874, 1876, 1877 and 1878). He served in the French army with the rank of second lieutenant. For the Universal Exhibition of 1879, in Sydney, he was a member of the French government commission, and made a trip through Australia and Oceania. He inherited from his uncle (Jan Kanty Działyński) in 1881, the property of Kórnik, that is to say the library, the castle, the park and the arboretum. He then returned to Poland, to Kórnik until his expulsion by the Prussians in 1885 (for his French citizenship).
